Show me your best candid holiday photo!

Forevercandid Photography is having it's very first photo contest! Here's the deal:

I want you to send me your BEST Christmas Day or holiday party photo. The catch? The photo has to be CANDID. That means no setting your kids up in front of the tree and telling them to say cheese. So get behind that camera and show me what you've got! Here in example of what I'm talking about:

This photo is of me and my dad on Christmas day. My sister and I have a tradition where every year at Christmas, we bought our dad a can of cashews. I honestly have no idea how the tradition started, but we've had a lot of fun throughout the years. Instead of just getting him the can, eventually we starting trying to fool him, putting the cashews in different types of packaging. Let me just say that it is harder than it sounds! Well finally, last year, we got him. The photo above is the moment he figures out that the very soft, round package, was really a can of cashews wrapped up inside a winter hat!

Nate & Renee Prestia's wedding highlights!

Nate & Renee are a great couple and after photographing their reception - I can tell they have a lot of really great friends too! I probably took more "group shots" than in any other wedding. The venue was the DoubleTree hotel in Waltham. Enjoy!!


Renee's color choices really complemented the venue. A really beautiful ivory dress with oranges and browns in the flowers and bridesmaid dresses.


It was a night wedding, so we found some creative inside locations for our "formal" sessions. Including the enormous jacuzzi tub in the bridal suite!

Wedding at the Topsfield Commons

I had a great time photographing Shannon & Matt's wedding at the Topsfield Commons! It was my first time at this venue, and I hope to be back next wedding season. It is very elegant, and the staff is super friendly! Well the venue certainly reflected the bride & groom. They are a great couple, really fun to work with, and really enjoyed their wedding day. Photography was important to them, but they "didn't want to miss the party" so we finished as quickly as possible! I'll post some pictures on my facebook page shortly, but wanted to share this fun slide-show with all of you.

Wedding Survey

Here's a little something I made to help brides get ready for the big day! It gives me just a little insight into the bride & grooms style as well as takes care of some necessary details for the wedding day itself. I hope to be able to grab this sheet before I go to a wedding, and be fully prepared! It's just the first draft I've made - so let me know if you have any input! I'd love to hear your ideas of what questions to ask, what details you as a current or former bride would want the photographer to know etc... My first wedding is June 27th. Kind of a late start this year. I'm very excited to get going!

The picture you'll be remembered by...

I love my mac and the fun fliers I can make :) I've decided to try to market a little in the senior picture scene. I already have one appointment for July 11th. Hopefully many more to come! :)

Erin & Shawn

Erin & Shawn live in Rockport, so they showed me some awesome spots to photograph! It was a little rainy, but they were troopers and we had a lot of fun. These are just a few favs :) This was only my second maternity shoot, but so far, I'm loving it!

Baby Charlie :-)

Little Charlie clearly is ready for his debut in modeling/acting!! He loved the camera. Here are some of my favs! I couldn't have asked for a better shoot - it being one of my first official baby gigs! :) Thanks again Julie!

I know- finally- a post!! It was nice to get out shooting and this time in beautiful Greensboro NC! Beth wanted pictures with a modern edge and it was so much fun finding places to shoot this style. I hope to do many more shoots like this with models, kids, etc -- I'm really happy about how they turned out!

St. Thomas wedding!

Well, the most exciting post-bridal-show news I have for you, is that I've been hired to photograph a wedding in St. Thomas this July 4th! I can't wait to go, take all the pictures, and then share them with you. It's going to be a fantastic place to photograph (even though it will be HOT) with all the scenery and beaches..
